Celebrate the Small Things Hop

This week I celebrated by still basking in the feat of finishing my first draft. As writers, I don’t think we ever sit in wonder of our own accomplishments long enough. I even talked about this very problem on my latest YAStands post. So damn it, I’m still celebrating that!

I’m also celebrating AWESOME CPs who read my manuscript in a DAY and provide such great advice on how to make it better. I’m still reeling from how fast they read it and loved it and thought on it long enough to find ways to improve it! The feedback is invaluable.

Along with that, I’ve read a couple CP manuscripts recently since I’m on a break from my own writing and it’s so great to see all the different styles and avenues people take in their writing, but it is ALL GOOD. No matter that the subject matter and style are completely different, they still find a quirky or serious or innocent or dangerous way to my heart. I love that!
