I’m here and ready to Celebrate the Small Things! If you are new to this blog hop, all you have to do is sign up on the linky below if you want to join! If you already have, then go around to each blog that signed up and congratulate or just say YAY to everyone and their accomplishments for this week! (Full instructions at our host Vikki’s post here!)
When it comes to writing, I’m going to be honest. I’ve taken a bit of a break. A bunch of things have been mounting in my life and I haven’t really made the time I should have to get my writing done. Somehow I managed to pull it together though and write up a query and synopsis to send in to the Midwest Writer’s Workshop critiques – the conference I will be attending in less than 2 weeks! But besides that, we have been a few people down at work which has put extra pressure and responsibility on me for that ..as well as me being involved in one of my best friend’s weddings which will take place this weekend. I think once August comes around I will finally be back to normal and posting more on this blog besides JUST this hop and the occasional cover reveal. But I think it’s good to have a break here and there and recharge your batteries. I was getting myself too worked up about having to have everything finished for this conference and it kind of “blocked” my creative juices!
So what am I thankful for then this week? Looking forward to a beautiful wedding this weekend and *gasp* looks like we are going to have beautiful weather for it! Also, next weekend I have a camping trip planned with my husband and two sisters so I’m looking forward to that quality time with all of them away from technology and society in general haha! And, even though it’s rough sometimes, I’m thankful for the job that I have in that it keeps my bills paid and allows me to continue my writing dream without having to live in my parent’s basement to do it π
What did you celebrate this week? Let me know in the comments or join the hop and I will find out on your blog!

I have such a love-hate relationship with writing myself. I love to do it, but then my self doubt kicks in and I just can’t… it’s so good for you to take breaks from it, even if it doesn’t feel like it at the time!
Happy Friday!

Ooh camping, that sounds awesome π
Sometimes a break is just what you need to get your passion back.
Sometimes breaks are necessary. I hope you can store up those writing juices so when you get back to normal they just flow out. Have a wonderful camping trip and eat lots of cake at the wedding!
Sometimes we all need a break, and to return recharged!
Enjoy your camping. I really enjoy getting away from life for a little white and actually spending quality time with people. I hope the weather stays nice for you π
It is nice to take a break. It was hard for me to get back into writing. Hopefully you don’t have that problem, but I’m always willing to give a kick in the pants to anyone who needs it. π
Love camping. Enjoy and relax after a hectic week.
